Come and celebrate our #FamousForFlavour winners with us!

Robertsons’ #FamousForFlavour competition recognises and celebrates everyday, South African home cooks. We searched far and wide for this year’s Top 9 home cooks. Now, it’s their time to shine once more as we reveal our winners.

Join us for some festivities and delicious dishes to celebrate their victory! The event starts at 18:30 on 26 October at Truffles on the Park.

01 - The start of big things

On 29 March 2023, we launched the Robertsons’ Famous for Flavour competition at Signature Restaurant in Johannesburg. For this special event, 3 skilled home cooks delighted our guests with their tasty, winning dishes. The competition started with a fantastic bang, and the public was invited to enter to become Famous for Flavour with their own unique dishes.

02 - Bringing the flavour to South Africans

We received entries from home cooks all over South Africa, each of them eager to share their signature dish using Robertsons’ herbs and spices as key ingredients. Each entry was considered carefully to shortlist our 9 finalists. Our finalists were taken on a tour across South Africa, giving the public several opportunities to meet our home cooks and taste their delicious signature dishes at malls in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

03 - The public casts their votes

Besides meeting our 9 finalists and tasting their signature dishes, we also asked the public to vote for their favourite dish at the different mall activations. Nationally, we received a total of 1,745 votes! These votes showed us what the public’s favourite dishes were, and helped us to choose our top 3 home cooks.

04 - And the winners are…

We want to announce the winners of the Robertsons’ Famous for Flavour competition in style, and you’re invited to come celebrate with us! Our 3 national winners will be revealed on 26 October at Truffles on the Park in Johannesburg. The event starts at 18:30 and guests will be treated to a flavoursome feast that celebrates the unique flavours and signature dishes that our top 3 home cooks will now be famous for.
