Unilever Food Safety Policy

Unilever Ethiopia Leadership is committed to meeting food safety requirements applicable to our role as foods manufacturer from raw material reception to finished goods dispatch.


Towards this end, it is our policy that we will:

•Manufacture and supply Savoury products that are fit lor their intended use.

•Maintain appropriate levels of hygiene and adhere to current good manufacturing practices (cGMP)

•Comply with applicable legal requirements and mutually agreed food safely requirements of our customers.

•Establish and implement effective external communication systems with our suppliers, contractors, customers, statutory and regulatory authorities, and other interested organizations in the food chain as well as internal communication with personnel regarding food safety aspects.

•Provide necessary resources lor effective implementation of the food safety management system, and

•Establish measurable food safety objectives at functional levels of the Organization.

Unilever Ethiopia s top leadership shall ensure that this Policy is communicated, implemented, and maintained at all levels within the Organization and that it is reviewed annually for continuing suitability, updated to address changing requirements and refined to promote continuous improvement
