The easiest midweek meal! Use convenient frozen mixed vegetables and Rajah Flavourful & Mild Curry Powder to transform ordinary beef mince into a delicious family dinner packed with great flavour. Serve with rice, pap or mash, or pile your mince on hot buttered toast.

Tips

Here's a great way to make sure you always have garlic and ginger to hand. Freeze your garlic cloves and ginger roots whole, in their skins. When you need them, remove the skins and finely grate them directly into the hot pan, where they will thaw instantly.

Ingredients
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) Rajah Flavourful & Mild Curry Powder
  • 10 ml (1 tsp) garlic and ginger paste
  • 500 g beef mince
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1.5 cups (375 ml) frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 Knorrox Beef Stock Cube
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) water
Cooking Method
  1. Heat the oil in a pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and cook until it begins to soften.

  2. Add the Rajah Flavourful & Mild Curry Powder and the ginger and garlic paste, then cook for one minute to release the flavour and aroma, stirring constantly.

  3. Add the beef mince, cook until well browned, then add the tomatoes.

  4. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, Knorrox Beef Stock Cube and water, and allow to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the vegetables are cooked through.

  5. Serve hot with rice, pap or mash.
