If you don't like tomato skin, you can peel them before they go into the pot. Cut a cross in the top of each tomato, then put them in a large bowl and cover with plenty of boiling water. After 10 minutes or so, simply slip off the skins using your fingers.
Heat olive oil in a pot and fry the onion until soft.
Add the chopped tomatoes, Robertsons Crushed Garlic, Robertsons Peri-Peri, sugar, soy sauce and tomato sauce.
Cook the sauce over a medium heat for about 30 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes to ensure that it does not stick.
Season to taste with Robertsons Atlantic Sea Salt and Robertsons Black Pepper.
