Aromat Potato & Bacon Fritters

Are you a lover of potatoes? This recipe is for you! These delicious potato and bacon fritters make for a delightful snack. You can serve this while everyone is waiting for you to finish up cooking. 
Ingredients
  • 200 g back bacon chopped
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 3 medium eggs lightly beaten
  • 125 ml or 4 tbsp flour
  • 30 g or 1/8 cups of fresh chives chopped
  • 7.5 ml or 1 tsp garlic powder / crushed garlic
  • 15 ml or 1 tbsp Knorr Aromat Seasoning (Original)
  • 120 ml or 1/2 cup sunflower oil for shallow frying
Cooking Method
  1. Fry the bacon and keep it aside for later use.

  2. Peel and grate the potatoes. Squeeze out any excess water using a kitchen towel.

  3. Place grated potatoes in a large bowl along with eggs and flour. Mix well until combined.

  4. Add the fried bacon, chopped chives, garlic powder or crushed garlic and Aromat Original. Mix well

  5. Using a spoon, scoop out the mixture in small amounts and shape it into flat rounds using your hands.

  6. In a non-stick frying pan, heat and add potato rounds. Shallow fry on each side for 2 minutes or until crispy and golden brown.

  7. Garnish with fresh chives and serve immediately with cream cheese or a sauce of your choice.
